Oriol Maspons first travelled to Ibiza with his Rolleiflex in 1954 and kept returning every summer into the late 1980s, capturing the emerging island like no one before him. One of the key figures in Spain's mid-century photographic renaissance, Maspons shot Ibiza purely for pleasure — beach, party and disco scenes soaked in nudity, freedom and a permissiveness that feels like a different world. The result, his son Alex writes, raises the question of whether we're more or less free today than 50 years ago. This second edition brings the sun-drenched, liberated, dressed-up-and-undressed archive back into print.

Photography by Oriol Maspons. Introduction by Alex Maspons. Produced by Emma Salahi. Softcover with flaps. 20 x 26.5cm, 144 pages. Second edition of 1,000. Published by IDEA.
